Flake Ice
- 1 to 2mm in thickness.
- Fast and effective cooling.
- Suitable for refrigerated (sub-cooled) storage.
- Best used quickly, without prolonged storage.
Slurry Ice
- Consists of microscopic ice crystals floating in water or brine.
- Instant cooling.
- Even cooling, as it perfectly covers product, and is easily dissolved.
- Easily pumped and distributed to point of usage.
- Not suitable for extended storage.
Block Ice
- Hard sub-cooled (below 0°C) blocks of ice in various sizes.
- High cooling capacity.
- Ideal for ice retails.
- Requires cutting/crushing and the sharp edges may damage cooled products.
- Excellent for storing/transporting other types of ice without refrigeration.
